    Hello

Hi, I'm Darker Days. Well, that's not my real name. Anyway, I've been suffering from depression and anxiety to varying degrees for about 20 years now. I'm here to share my experiences with like-minded people and to learn from fellow sufferers. <3

    Meditation

Does anybody here meditate to help with anxiety and/or depression? It's something I have always wanted to try out and for some reason, never get around to. What incense (if any) do you use, what music do you have backing your sessions (if any)? Sorry for the quick-fire round, I'm just really...

As much as I love my children, they aren't the greatest of medicines when it comes to certain aspects of my mental health. Lockdown and Depression

Lockdown was a bad time for us all. With no structure to our days, no taking the kids to school, and -more often than not- no work to go to. For many people, the lockdown was the root cause of people's depression, and those that were already suffering slipped further into that rut. What sort of...

Alcohol and Depression - The Vicious Circle

We drink because we're depressed and we're depressed because we drink. This situation is wide-spread among us who suffer the dark clutches of the black dog. How then, do we break this chain?

    Anxiety

Having suffered from anxiety for around 20-years, I still haven't managed to rationalize with myself during episodes. It's crazy how the mind works, right? A foreboding sense of doom, an irrational fear for your family, thinking far into the future and letting your mind shape a bleak outcome. in...
