Raped by three cousins

A friend of mine told me a horrible story about her past today. She told me that three of his cousins raped her when she was just 11 years and she never got to tell her parents till date. Now, she's 25 years and feels like letting her parents know about what happened.

What advice would you give her?

There's no point in keeping quiet about getting raped unless you're the one who led them to rape you which is still wrong.

She should have them reported because there's a chance they would be doing that to other female cousins.

My suggestion is that she can open up and talk to her parents. It has happened a very long time ago but telling them can help her to heal. She's really in pain and the only way to let go is to talk about it and also reprimand those that did such abominable acts on her.
