Does music help you feel better?

One of the top and recommended remedy to depression is to listen to good music, music that uplifts the spirit and soul.
But this idea is often met with criticism, as many claim that they get even more depressed after listening to music.

What do you think?
 
Music is therapeutic especially when you get the genres that suits your mood. Good music lifts the spirit and soul, out from depression and anxiety.
 
Music gives me a wide range of emotions, but it surely makes me feel better when I feel down. This especially at night when such feelings are prevalent.
 
I am a huge music lover and I have always found that music has helped me greatly when I have been down or felt depressed.

Music is great if you are looking for that lift me-up or even motivation when you feel like you can't keep going.
 
Currently listening to music now. Music is therapeutic and I can never go away from it rather it takes me to the imagination I always feel to touch.
