It could be in the family or in the workplace, but expectations from people that you find hard to meet can cause depression. I’ve seen it happen many times, and I have even experienced the anxiety.

Do you feel the same way too?

Why should I be depressed because of the expectations that people had on me? I don't have any anxiety in any such, I can only be myself and be myself too.

It's going to be a very serious mistake if you keep having high expectation or even any kind of expectation on other people. They will always disappoint you in ways that you can never expect it.

There is a saying that one is disappointed only when one is expectant. It is this disappointment that might eventually turn to depression when it happens way too often.

Yeah, it's very capable of making someone depressed especially when they have invested in so much in others but end up being disappointed.

Having expectations on other persons is the last thing I would ever do to myself. I've had friends whom their trust and expectations on others put in a very tight spot.
