Do the rich also get depressed?

Just a random thought that came to my mind. Those who are rich practically lack nothing materially. They can afford anything that they want, they can go on vacation to wherever they like and they can hang out in any spot of their choice.
This makes me wonder if they tend to get depressed, since most of the things that causes depression have already been solved with money.

No one has everything they ever want. Besides, depression does not come from lack of needs. It is a state of mind that can be triggered by life negative experiences, which we all have whether rich or poor.

This reminds me of a book titled The Rich Also Cry. I read it when I was in secondary school. There are little problem facing the poor that the rich cannot experience too. Depression happens to everyone.

I've actually seen a lot of rich people that committed suicide simply because they are depressed. This goes on to show that your wealth doesn't have anything to do with you being depressed or not.

A leading cause of suicide is depression, not poverty. So it is everyone that is concerned irrespective of your financial status.

I see. Some people used to say that if they have a lot of money they wouldn't have to battle with depression for the rest of their lives. Maybe they are mistaken after all.

These people have not experienced being rich that is why they can say that. When they are in the position they will understand that it is not all about money.

This just goes on to prove the point that the rich also get depressed. In fact research shows that there are more depressed rich people than poor ones.
