Depression in children from broken homes

There are a lot of broken homes and marriages today but one thing we fail to pay attention to is the mental and psychological effect of broken marriages on the children.

It might seem not to be a big deal because maybe both parent might choose to give custody to the child but seeing your parents fight and separate from each other can be emotionally draining on those children which could lead to depression.

If you see a really sad and antisocial child sometime it might be as a result of this.

Once a family is broken, it's going to affect the kids for the rest of their lives. Parents are supposed to take care of their kids and make sure they grow up in a healthy environment. But once that's broken by divorce, the kids will suffer.

Yes, that's why I hold to a traditional view of marriage as espoused by the Bible. Nonetheless, a lot of marriages are gotten into without a lot of prayer and they could be full of a lot of abuse and whatnot. It's really a tough dilemma. You get abuse if things are continued, but also abuse if there is a divorce or separation.
