Psalm 34:17-18 is my favourite scripture in the Bible that helps me through a difficult time. It says, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.".

I used to go closer to my God whenever I'm feeling depressed. I have faith that there's nothing God cannot do. Also being with those who share in the same faith and belief equally helps very well too.

If you're not working, you won't make money and you can never be able to take care of yourself and your needs. If your broke, you're considered useless by everyone including by your family. You're surely getting depressed if you don't have a job or any hand work that's going to pay you.

All these things that you have mentioned are normal things men do for their friends. They don't have to be looking to start a romantic relationship without you before doing that but it doesn't mean some won't use the same strategy.

Last time I read a suicide note was about 10 years ago when my best friend in college committed suicide. I never knew he was depressed even when I was his best friend. He never opened up to me so that I can help him but only for him to apologise to me in his suicide note which left me more broken.
