What are some long-term goals you’ve set for managing your depression?

Managing depression is never easy, one of the things I have always been told to help manage my depression is to set long-term goals that will help me manage my depression and help me through those tough times.

If you suffer from depression, do you ever set long-term goals to help you manage? What kind of goals have you set that have helped?
 
One thing I always do is to understand that the feeling can come anytime. At one point I my life I would feel depressed. What is important is knowing what to do to make the feeling go away as soon as possible. So I am not surprised when I eventually feel depressed and I am in a better situation to handle it.
 
The long-term goal I have set for myself is to make it huge in life and also make my mama proud. This has been in my mind that I haven't found a reason to be depressed.

I know that there are some days that someone can be down but try your best to wade away from every thought of suicide coming into your heart.
