Do the mistakes you made in the past make you depressed?

Sometimes I look back at some things I did and feel down. It is not that these things are bad in themselves, but I feel like I should have done better. This happens often and I can go back weeks and even years.

Do you experience this too?

I do but I don't rely on the past because the past is there to help us make a better person. You don't need to feel bad about why or reasons you didn't do better then, it's a growth and you need to take it and forge ahead. I don't feel sorry for my past, I learn from them.

I am not depressed about my past life. I can only learn never to repeat my mistakes but I can't be depressed that I didn't do what I supposed to do.

Then you are one person that have really mastered the art of moving on. There are many people that are still hung over the mistakes they’ve made in the past.

Moving on is not easy but it's better to get on trying than being a person that doesn't like growth. Many people hung over their mistakes because they felt that the past is more better than the future.

It's good to never look back because the more you dwell on your mistakes, the more you are going down with depression. Life goes on and we needs to do so too.

It's inevitable for human beings to make mistake and there is always a chance of those mistakes coming back to haunt us in the present. It's what makes it possible for that person to be depressed as a result of that.

Yes they can be living their lives quite alright until they just feel a wave of that remembrance. Then their mood would be spoiled throughout the day.

Exactly! I've seen where some people talk about finding a way to wipe some of their memories because there are some things which they rather not remember again in their lives.

Yes, the mistakes which I made in the past some years ago had me devastated and depressed for a long time before I got over it. This is why I don't want to have anything to do with my past.
