Break-Up and Depression?

So yeah, break-ups can lead to depression, suicide ideation, suicidal depression, drugs and substance abuse and etc. Why do you still have relationships then? I don't because I'm aro-ace, hence why I don't have any of those issues. Why go through heart-break and depression because of 1 person in your life?

If I truly love someone and we break up in a very bad way especially if she cheated on me and I found out which would lead to the breakup, I will definitely feel depressed for a while.

Breakups can be emotional draining and if you focus all your energy in thinking about the breakup you can gradually or immediately get into depression.

Breakups can lead to depression and something more deeper but there's no way I can be more depressed than that. I can feel down for some time and the only thing I will do is to make myself valuable and rebuild myself esteem again. It won't be easy but it's a journey that needs consistent and determination.
