I usually play a lot of computer games but I don't see that as a wholesome way to keep the dog at bay. What sort of things do you guys get up to to help take your mind away?

I find myself in the garden shooting arrows when I'm feeling low or anxious. It's good exercise and it gets you out of the house. Maybe something worth looking into?

I have always resorted to playing video games to help me battle my depression. I found out that it only works temporary as once I stop playing, I would sink back in.

I've tried so many things as a way to take my mind off of the things that are making me depressed and the only thing that I found out to have worked for me is listening to music all the time.

My depression gets worst whenever I'm idle. It's why I keep working almost all of the time except for when I'm not sleeping. If I'm done with the work, I would start playing games or watch movies or go hiking or swimming.

I too play video games or phone games, browse the internet looking for feel good stories, I watch comedies, etc.. like Tony mentioned above, if you stay still the depression kicks in. I probably should be going out for walks too, go out for fresh air more often but I am a bit lazy... my mom thinks its depression but I'm pretty sure its just laziness.

I love reading fictional books. It's always very easy for me to move away from reality and get into the world of the books fiction. It helps a lot in taking my mind away from what's making me feel depressed.

It is always very difficult for me to take my mind away from whatever that is causing depression for me because they are something that live with me on daily basis which I find it very difficult to avoid. It is only when I am able to sleep that I would be able to have my mind away from whatever that is causing depression for me.
